Introduction about industrial IOT. Industrial IOT tutorial.

Hey guys this is asutosh nayak. Today we will discuss a small introduction about industrial IOT on google cloud platform. Today, the use of internet has increased a lot. According to a report 4.57 billion of people were active internet users as of july 2020. Many companies are now preparing for driver less cars. Amazon started drone delivery on some cities in the US. The platform of online gaming has grown so much that no one is sure. IOT has become the best city on some country in the world. A smart city is being built in Dholera, India, which is connected to the entire internet. Nowadays a lot of people are using amazon alexa in their house. Today's time world is completely connected to the internet. If today, the internet will be stopped in the world, Then 90% population of the world will end up alive.

Internet of things:-

The internet of things is a system of internet related computing devices mechanical and digital machine provide with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. Data it is being created all that time, from devices, application, and their users. Because it's digital, it's measurable. There's actionable offline data just waiting to be discovered, and with devices that can capture, convert, and send the newly discovered data, business in any industry can start measuring their operation in real time to anticipate events proactively, and to spot issues before they become problems. Processing this data would be easy for a few devices, but what about hundreds, thousand, or even millions? You can analyze performance in all the places that matter. This is the internet of things.

The general structure of an IOT networks includes devices to interact with the environment a gateway to gather the data and communicate with the cloud and the cloud to store, process, and analyze the data.

Growing exponential of Internet of things:-

The amount of attention IOT it is getting is growing exponentially.

1999:- Internet of things is originally called internet for things, IOT quickly became more popular.

2018:- 20 billion devices connected to the internet.

2030:- 125 billion devices connect to the internet.

Market sectors driving this growth:-

  • Smart cities:- a city that uses technology to improve efficiency, sustainability, and quality of life for people living and working in the city.
  • Industrial IOT:- uses machine learning and big data to generate value from sensor data.
  • Connected health:- using consumer technologies to connect patients and healthcare provider outside of the hospital.
  • Smart homes:- using smart devices to control the environment in a home.
Devices:-

Devices interact with the environment by gathering data or performing an action upon the environment. They can be connected version of common objects you might already know, or new and purpose-built devices. They can be devices that you can own personally and carry with you or keep in your home. Devices can also be embeded in factory equipment or as part of the infrastructure of the city where you live. Each of them is able to convert valuable information from the physical world into digital data that provides increase visibility into how your user interact with your products, services or application.

Gateway:-

A gateway ensures that devices are security connected to the cloud. A gateway can be a cell phone, a personal assistant or a microprocessor platform. It controls messaging between the devices and the cloud and in some cases, does real time analytics or machine learning, which is called edge computing. A gateway devices might be used even when the participating devices are capable of communicating without one.

Cloud:- The cloud handle computation and storage, real time and batch analytics, and machine learning and visualization. In an IOT network, devices are often added, removed or modified. The cloud connected to the devices must be capable of scaling quickly to meet these demands. Communication protocols and data pipeline must be able to handle rapidly changing message traffic and storage needs. You need an efficient, scalable, affordable way to both manage those devices and handle all that information and make it work for you.
