Basic of networking | Types of network

 Network :-

           A network consists of two or more computers that are linked in order to share resources (such as printer and cd's), exchange files, or allow electronics communication. The computers on a network may be linked through cables, telephone lines, radio waves, satellites or infrared light beams.

Internet :-

          The internet is a global wide area network(WAN) that connects computer system across the all over world. It includes several high-bandwidth data lines that comprise the internet "backbone". These lines are connected to major internet hubs that distribute data to other locations, such as web servers and ISPs. Most ISPs offer broadband internet access via a cable, Dsl or Fiber connection. When you connect to the internet using a public wi-fi signal, the wi-fi router is still connected to an ISP that provides internet access.

Networking in IOT :-

        The IOT devices will most definitely need connectivity to the controllers that will be controlling the devices. The connectivity to the network cloud be wired or wireless. There are several protocols options in this space like zigbee, bluetooth, z-wave, 6 low pan, wi-fi cellular, nfc, sigfix etc. The network will need to evolve to support these protocol that are common in the IoT world.

Networking in Cyber security :-

     If you want to be a script kiddie who watches youtube tutorials and uses pre-exiting tools to hack into vulnerable systems. Then not so much, if you want to be a real hacker who can write their payloads and discover system vulnerabilities themselves, then you need to know a lot of networking and network security theory.
